Fishing and Game Licenses
The Town Clerk's Office sells a variety of sport licenses throughout the year. In order to obtain a hunting, combination fishing/hunting or trapping license, you must provide either a Department of Environmental Protection Firearms safety certificate or a prior Connecticut game license which is less than five (5) years old.
Fishing licenses are required for anyone 16 years of age or older. Hunting and Fishing guides are also available in this office.
Holders of all Lifetime Licenses need to renew it every year.

Connecticut Migratory Bird Stamps - In April the State Legislature made changes to the CT Duck Stamp. The Duck Stamp will now be valid on the calendar year basis. To implement this change the 2010-2011 duck stamp will be valid from July 1, 2010 to December 31, 2011. Starting in 2012, Duck Stamp hunting privileges will be for calendar, January 1 through December 31. The cost of the stamp will remain at $13.00.
Hunters will be required to carry a copy of their 2010 and 2011 hunting license with them when hunting duck after January 1, 2011.
If you misplace your license, kindly go to any Town Clerkâs Office that issues sports licenses or go to the DEP website and print a new copy.
Information as to how to obtain a credit for sports licenses purchased between October 1, 2009 and April 14, 2010 is attached.
