Fishing and Game Licenses

The Town Clerk's Office sells a variety of sport licenses throughout the year. In order to obtain a hunting, combination fishing/hunting or trapping license, you must provide either a Department of Environmental Protection Firearms safety certificate or a prior Connecticut game license which is less than five (5) years old.

Fishing licenses are required for anyone 16 years of age or older. Hunting and Fishing guides are also available in this office.

Fishing and combination fishing and hunting licenses are also sold at Bill’s Tackle Box located at 76 East High Street in East Hampton.

Pheasant Tags are valid from October through January

Connecticut Migratory Bird Stamps are valid from July 1st through June 30th

If you misplace your license, kindly go to the Town Clerk’s Office where the license was originally purchased. You will receive a duplicate license for $1.00 from the Town Clerk’s Office which is good for five (5) days and a temporary license application which must be either mailed or hand delivered to the Department of Environmental Protection, 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT 06106 along with a check or cash for $6.00.
