1. Call to Order
Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Woodcock at 8:02 pm.
2. Roll Call/Seating of Alternates
Commissioners present were Chair Nannette Woodcock, James Royster, Gina Ritchie, Vice Chair Doug MacKeown, Richard Walsh, Christopher Dart and George Coshow. Commissioner not present was Raymond Krupa. Alternate Commissioner George Coshow was seated for Raymond Krupa. Town Manager Jeffery O’Keefe, Board of Finance Member Henry Thorpe, and Town Council Member Susan Weintraub were also present.
3. Public Remarks – Items Not on Agenda - None
4. By-Laws Review and Revisions – The commission discussed and reviewed the by-laws.
No changes were proposed at this time.
The Commission discussed the draft in progress. (attached)
a. Review and discussion of 2009 Objectives – A review and discussion of the 2009 objectives was held.
6. MHHDC Handbook
a) Presentation to Town Manager/Town Council – The handbook was officially presented to the Town Manager, Jeffery O’Keefe and Town Council Member, Susan Weintraub. Jeffery O’Keefe and Susan Weintraub made positive comments about on the handbook.
b) Distribution Plan – The Handbook will be made available on the Town web site. Copies may be requested. The final means of distribution is still in progress. A letter and press release is in the works and should be released soon.
7. Public Remarks - None
8. Election of Officers
George Coshow moved to nominate James Royster as Chairman, Doug MacKeown as Vice Chairman and Richard Walsh as Clerk. The motion was seconded by Gina Ritchie.
Motion Carried 5-0-0
9. Adjournment
Commissioner Woodcock moved to adjourn the Annual Meeting of the Middle Haddam Historic District Commission at 8:30 pm, seconded by Commissioner Royster. Motion Carried 5-0-0
