Water Development Task Force
MINUTES of Special Meeting October 3, 2008
7:00 a.m. at the Town Garage Meeting Room
Call to order 7:00am
Attendees:~ John Tuttle, Mark Barmasse, Bob Heidel, John Hanson, Peter Aarrestad, Vin Susco, Bob Drewry and Jeff O'Keefe
Minutes of 7/23 approved – unanimously.
Land Acquisition Update:~ Mr Susco updated the group on the progress of the appraisal process of the St. Clements's well site property.
Village Center Update: Mr. Susco updated the group on the VCWS Project:~ All is moving forward and on budget. Goal is to close the consent order by 12/1/08, with a 3/1/09 deadline.
Other: Jeff O'Keefe to draft a policy for "process of considering new VCWS users" if/when incremental water becomes available in the VC.
Mr. Heidel suggested Task Force members review a copy of the 2006 "Need for and Feasibility of a Centralized Water System" report.
Mr. Susco will seek to find a spare copy of the document for circulation among the members. Mr. Susco also believes a copy resides in the TM's office.
Mr. Barmasse suggested the task force add an agenda item to all future meetings titled:~ Centralized Water System.~ Thus insuring we keep our eye on the long-term goal of this Task Force.
